New Balance offers a Protection Pack of three 2002Rs with a reconstructed deconstructed design.
The New Balance 2002R Protection Pack Sea Salt features a white upper combining smooth leather and suede. The edges of the inserts look like they have been cut with a knife, giving the pack a deconstructed look. In the same spirit, we find a tongue with raw edges revealing foam. The whole thing rests on a slightly aged ABZORB sole.
The 2002R comes back strong after two collaborations with Salehe Bembury which greatly contributed to the reintroduction of the silhouette originally released in 2010.
